b i o g r a p h y

Dan McGorry began his photography career around 1980, at the early age of seven. His early work consisted of photo documenting the grim results of traffic accidents that he would stage within his sprawling LEGOLAND® streetscapes.

It wasn¹t until college that he became more Œserious¹ with his photographic endeavors. While studying graphic design at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he took several black and white photography classes and found the architecture and portrait assignments exciting.

In the recent years, Dan has been fortunate to travel to Italy, Mexico, and several destinations within the United States where he has taken his camera along for the ride.

His recent work has been shown at Be Gallery and Asbury Art in Asbury Park, and Ground in Jersey City.

Dan currently lives and works in Jersey City, NJ where he drinks a lot of coffee and runs his graphic design company, whitenoisemachine.
